Progressive Web App (PWA)
What Is a PWA — and Why Should You Care?
A Progressive Web App (PWA) is a website that installs like a native app — no App Store, no corporate cut, no waiting for approval. Home screen icon, Offline access, Push notifications, and Full-screen experience.
The plain-English version
Every app you've ever downloaded from the App Store or Google Play is a native app — a large file that lives on your device and was approved by Apple or Google before you could access it.
A Progressive Web App (PWA) is different. It lives at a web address — like arcanavana.com — but when you install it, it behaves identically to a native app. It gets its own icon on your home screen. It opens in full-screen mode without a browser bar. It works offline. It sends push notifications. It launches fast.
The technology is built into every modern smartphone browser. Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Android — they both support it natively. You just need to know how to trigger the install, which is what our install guide walks you through.
The result: an app experience that's indistinguishable from something you'd find in the App Store — minus the corporate overhead, the surveillance, and the inflated prices.

Is it safe? Yes — here's exactly why
The hesitation is understandable. Here is the technical reality, plainly stated.
Nothing is downloaded to your device
Installing a PWA is not a download. When you tap "Add to Home Screen", your browser creates a shortcut to arcanavana.com and saves some cached page files — the same type of cache that any website you visit creates automatically. No executable file (.exe, .apk, .ipa) is ever transferred to your device. There is literally nothing for a virus scanner to flag.
Runs inside your browser
A PWA has exactly the same access to your device as a normal website — which is almost none by default.
Zero permissions granted at install
Arcanavana requests nothing at install time. Push notifications require your explicit "Allow". Camera (Chakra Scan only) requires your explicit "Allow" at the moment you use it. Nothing is granted silently.
HTTPS required by the PWA standard
PWAs cannot be installed from insecure connections — browsers block it by design. Every connection to arcanavana.com is encrypted with TLS 1.3, the same standard used by banks.
Enterprise infrastructure
Arcanavana runs on Vercel — the same infrastructure used by thousands of companies including Fortune 500s. Automated DDoS protection, edge security, and SSL certificate management are built in.
Reviewed by Apple & Google indirectly
Arcanavana runs inside Safari and Chrome. Both Apple and Google continuously audit their browsers' PWA security models. The trust you have in Safari and Chrome extends to how it runs Arcanavana.
Remove it like any app
Long-press the icon → Remove. It leaves nothing behind.
