Opposition

An opposition occurs when two planets are exactly opposite each other in the chart (180°, orb ±8°). It creates dynamic tension between two life areas or inner drives that must be integrated. A Venus-Mars opposition creates push-pull between love and desire; a Sun-Moon opposition (born at Full Moon) brings a natural tension between identity and emotion. Oppositions invite awareness and integration rather than domination of one pole.
