Ingress

An ingress occurs when a planet crosses the boundary from one zodiac sign to the next. Ingresses of slow-moving planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) mark major collective shifts that last months or years. Jupiter ingresses bring a year-long shift in the area of expansion; Saturn ingresses begin a 2.5-year restructuring of that sign's themes. In Vedic astrology, planetary ingresses into new rashis are tracked as significant timing events.
