Dasha (Vimshottari)

The Vimshottari Dasha system divides your life into planetary periods — each planet rules for a set number of years (Ketu 7, Venus 20, Sun 6, Moon 10, Mars 7, Rahu 18, Jupiter 16, Saturn 19, Mercury 17 = 120 years total). Your current Mahadasha (major period) and Antardasha (sub-period) reveal which planetary energy is most active. Dasha timing is calculated from your Moon's nakshatra position at birth.
